OPPO made an announcement revealing that it’s going to launch a new smartphone with a quad-camera setup this September in Malaysia. With just four donuts and the number ‘4’, there’s really no specific hint as to what the next smartphone may be.

Right now, the F series, A series, and Reno series are the top guesses. Many are saying that the upcoming phone will be the Reno 2 that has already been launched in India, but the camera lineup on the poster doesn’t match the vertical camera lineup in Oppo Reno 2.

In OPPO’s Facebook post, the company wrote “It’s time to upgrade to A new level of greatness,” capitalizing the letter ‘A’ — leading us to the assumption that it might indeed be the A series. On the other hand, OPPO Vietnam’s Facebook page posted something about the OPPO A9 2020 that comes with a quad-camera setup. Though it’s reported to be launched in 2020, it could arrive earlier for us Malaysians.

If it is indeed the OPPO A9, then this phone will sport a 6.5-inch display with at least an HD+ screen. The camera lineup also matches the one revealed in the poster by OPPO Vietnam, where three cameras are lined up vertically while the fourth camera is placed next to them. The OPPO A9 is also revealed to come with a 48MP main camera paired with an 8MP lens and two 2MP sensors.

Can you guess what’s this mysterious smartphone?
