The folks at Streamyx and Unifi today announced the ‘Satu Peluang‘ campaign to provide upgrades to existing Streamyx users. Users will be upgraded to Unifi Lite and will only required to pay RM69 as opposed to the regular RM89.
During a press conference, it was mentioned that these upgrades give users up to 8Mb/s broadband speeds. The upgrading process will take place automatically and will happen gradually, starting from this September.
‘Satu Peluang‘ here doesn’t signify customers’ limited opportunity to get the upgrades but rather Unifi and Streamyx’s intention to answer to their customers who’ve been taken to social media to complain about prices and speeds. They’re really embracing the criticisms here and are at least addressing them with a touch of class.
During the event, it was also announced that the Unifi Air is now being offered at RM79 with unlimited quota pushing 20Mb/s speeds. Unifi Air is essential a mobile hotspot for your home, and it is claimed that up to 64 devices can connect to the broadband. Installation only requires a simple plug and play method and provides 4G LTE network to users.
Also introduced to the masses is the MyUnifi mobile app which allows users to manage their accounts across all offerings. Features available include 24-hour installation, 24-hour live chat support, zero no show assurance and payment options too.
With this, Unifi also promises door-to-door installation services that will be available at your disposal within two hours upon request. However, the areas covered with this service are Shah Alam, Pantai Dalam, Johor Bahru, Butterworth and Georgetown only starting from October this year. Unifi claims that they will expand coverage areas gradually.
