If you’ve kept up with the news, you’d know the HONOR 20 series had its global launch two days back in London. Fortunately for us Malaysians, the HONOR 20 made its way to us today.
Now if you’re just hearing about the HONOR 20 series, you’ll need to know that there are three of them — HONOR 20, HONOR 20 Pro and HONOR 20 Lite. The lite version came much earlier last month so today’s spotlight shines on the HONOR 20.
The HONOR 20 is equipped with a 6.26-inch punch-hole LCD display. Unlike the HONOR 20 Lite, the device is integrated with a fingerprint sensor on its side that also functions as a power button. On the back, the phone sports a holographic design on its glassback and if you pay attention to the upper left corner, you’ll spot the quad camera setup.
The HONOR 20 is also powered by a Kirin 980 AI chipset paired with Dual NPU and Game Turbo 3.0. It has 6GB RAM and 128GB but sadly, there’s no expandable storage. Nonetheless, you will find that the phone ships with Android 9 with MagicUI 2.1 skin on top.
What differs slightly between the HONOR 20 and HONOR 20 Pro is their camera setup. There’s a 48MP sensor on both phones but the pro version comes with f/1.4 aperture while the standard version comes with f/1.8 aperture. Th HONOR 20 also holds a 16MP super wide angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens that enables users to take really close-up photos of miniature objects.
In terms of battery, the HONOR 20 fits between the HONOR 20 Lite and the HONOR 20 Pro. It has a 3,750mAh battery and supports HONOR SuperCharge that can easily charge the phone up to 50% in 30 minutes.
The HONOR 20 is available in Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black and costs RM1,699. Once it’s available, those who purchase the device will also get free gifts worth RM500 while stocks last.
