AMD has just announced that global pre-orders of the anticipated 2nd generation of AMD Ryzen processors have now started. The new generation processors offer more performance and innovative features at a great price point, offering a processor for everyone.
The 2nd generation Ryzen processors offers a lineup of two 8-core, 16-threads models and two 6-core, 12 threads models, both offering major upgrades and an advance in AMD’s SenseMI technology.

All the processors come with AMD Wraith Cooler inside, the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU now comes with a new Wraith Prism cooler, offering improved thermal performance over the Wraith Max. The 2nd gen processors are supports with the most advanced, optimized and efficient X470 chipset for the AM4 socket. The X470 chipset will be available from top manufacturers including ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI. The 300-series motherboards will also support these new processors after a simple BIOS update, but many motherboards already come supported for the new processors, indicated by a “Ryzen Desktop 2000 Ready” label on the package.
Pre-orders for the new processors have already started and the processors are expected to officially arrive on April 19.
