The latest rumours surrounding the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro reveals quite a lot about the phones. It was originally thought to be named as P11 and P11 Plus instead, but a teaser video released by Huawei has confirmed the names of the upcoming smartphones. And if you’re wondering when they are making their debut appearance, it’ll be at the Huawei press conference in Paris on March 27th.

Based on the alleged rumours, the designs of the phone would look identical to each other, though what sets them apart is that the Pro model has the anticipated triple-camera setup on the back. But when it comes to the front of the phone, notches are still apparent. Guess we’ll have to wait until the trend of notches get faded away. And we don’t expect Huawei to remove the fingerprint scanner from the phones as well, as that would seem too bold.

Although rumours on the display sizes of the P20 and P20 Pro seem pretty scarce at the moment, what we can expect is for them to be powered by the Kirin 970 chipset, just like the Mate 10 series. It’s also rumoured that the P20 Pro would house a triple lens 40MP rear camera setup with 5x hybrid zoom; setting it apart from the competition.

Besides that, the smartphones are expected to have facial recognition that’s safer than that of the Apple Face ID, since it’s been said that it could be secured enough to make payments and it unlocks in just 0.4 seconds. Other things to note about is that the P20 Pro may be packed with a massive 4,000 mAh battery, while the P20 may be powered by 3,320 mAh battery, and of course, it’s going to be included with the Android Oreo software too.

The Huawei P20 is expected to be priced at €679 while the Pro could cost €899. And though it does seem like they could be in a heated rivalry with the Samsung’s flagships this year, time will only tell so we’d still like to urge readers to take this with a grain of salt as we would update you from time to time.
