The latter feature shouldn’t be much of a surprise to most of us, as most of Honor’s recent devices feature dual camera setups. Besides, the Honor 6X from last year too sported dual rear cameras, but Huawei subsidiary Honor is bringing yet another sought after feature to its latest mid range device, the Honor 7X. In 2017, it’s more about the screen.

Announced in China earlier today, the Honor 7X is made to kill off the existing mid range competition. First of all, it joins the bandwagon of full screen smartphones with a 5.93-inch Full HD+ display with an 18:9 display aspect ratio. The bezels aren’t as trimmed as current flagships out there, but they still look significantly lesser than on an ordinary handset. Underneath the hood sits Huawei’s own Kirin 659 chipset with 4GB of RAM and storage options of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The Honor 7X also comes with expandable storage via the micro SD slot.

The dual camera setup of the Honor 7X consists of a 16MP sensor and a secondary 2MP sensor for all those sweet bokeh shots with blurred background effects. The selfie game of course has to be maintained as well, with the phone equipped with an 8MP front facing shooter. The Honor 7X packs a 3,340mAh battery, and it is IP67 rated for water and dust resistance, a plus for a mid range smartphone.

The Honor 7X will remain a China exclusive device before being launched globally soon. The phone carries an affordable price tag starting at 1,299 CNY (RM 830.96). What do you think?
