Maybe the Galaxy Note 8 is too flashy for your taste. Samsung’s latest offering will definitely come with a premium price as well, which has yet to be announced. A couple of years ago, Meizu has been known for blatantly copying designs of other flagship smartphones to its own devices. It still does, but not as outright anymore. The Meizu M6 Note is the Chinese manufacturer’s latest device which has a dual camera setup and a bigger battery than the Note 8’s.

First things first, the Meizu M6 Note is by no means a competitor to the Galaxy Note 8. It does not feature an Infinity Display, but rather an ordinary 5.5-inch Full HD screen on the front. Underneath the hood is a mid range Snapdragon 625 processor along with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. The 4GB RAM model is only available with 64GB of storage.

The main highlight of the Meizu M6 Note is its dual rear camera setup. It consists of 12MP + 5MP image sensors, the former of which will be the primary camera and the latter the secondary shooter. Meizu even took a jab at Huawei by ambitiously pitting the M6 Note up against the Huawei P10 with a side by side low light picture comparison. The front facing camera of 16 megapixels isn’t a slouch as well. The massive 4,000mAh battery packed by the M6 Note should help it last throughout a full day of moderate use or even more.

The Meizu M6 Note will be made available in Chinese markets, still with a big question mark on international availability. It will begin with a price tag of 1,099 CNY (RM 705.63).
