The Galaxy Note 8 will finally be launched next month on August 23 at New York City. Officially, it will be the first Note device since the Galaxy Note 5 if we discount the discontinuation of the Note 7 and its refurbished version dubbed the Note FE. With less than a month to go before the launch, Samsung Australia has already opened up pre-registration for the upcoming phablet.
There’s a form on Samsung Australia’s official website for those who are interested to fill in, which includes the usual personal particulars, plus the person’s current device, carrier and Instagram handle. Australia is definitely not one of the first countries to receive Samsung handsets, but the pre-registration definitely marks a particular demand from that side of the world.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be the company’s first ever global dual camera smartphone, and it might turn out to be Samsung’s most impressive smartphone yet, with fingers crossed that it history will not repeat itself. The phablet will be similarly spec-ed as the Galaxy S8 series, but will feature an even larger Infinity Display on the front with a near bezel-less design.
Samsung will be pitting both the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy Note 8 against Apple’s iPhone 8 series when it launches later this year. The South Korean company has produced strong results, and will aim to continue to do so throughout the iPhone hype.
