Early last year, we saw the emergence of Yoodo – a Celcom-backed telco brand that boasts “fully customizable” plans, affording users ample options to tailor their mobile plans to their specific needs.

A year on, Yoodo are making headways again by announcing their entry to the eSIM market. With this, you’ll also be able to customize plans as usual, and you can sign up for your eSIM via Yoodo’s mobile app; unlike Celcom and Maxis who require you to make a trip to a physical store to activate your eSIM. Hence, why Yoodo’s self-proclaimed “first fully digital mobile service” moniker.

What you need to do is download Yoodo’s mobile app, select “Activate a SIM”, customize your mobile plan, and a QR code will be emailed to you for you to activate your eSIM account.

As Yoodo leverages on Celcom’s 4G and 3G networks, you can expect decent connection and broadband speeds. Unfortunately the only phones that support eSIM are the Apple iPhone XS, XS Max and XR only; so sorry Android users.
