Xiaomi Max render out, with a physical home button

Images of an alleged front panel of a rumored Xiaomi Max handset was leaked out in the wild last week. According to rumours, the Xiaomi Max is said to sport a huge slim bezeled 6.4-inch display. Just last night, a new rendered image has been uploaded online about the huge phablet smartphone by the Chinese OEM, however, sporting a couple of differences and inconsistencies from the image from last week.

The render shows the device carrying pretty much very Xiaomi-like elements with the exception of a thing or two. First off, we’re still seeing the slim bezels in Xiaomi fashion, alongside what seems to be a black border surrounding the huge display, creating an illusion of super-slim bezels. One thing to note is Xiaomi has decided to do away with the Mi logo on the top left corner of the front panel, which was also missing in the previous image leak.

One notable difference is the physical home button on the front panel of the handset. It differs from the previous image which featured a capacitive home button instead. The capacitive buttons from the earlier images had us assuming that the fingerprint sensor will be on the back of the device, but this new render has proved us wrong otherwise. The physical home button, which very much resembles a Samsung home button, might be packing a fingerprint sensor underneath, flanked by two capacitive keys.

Perhaps, we should take early renders like this with a huge grain of salt. What do you think?
