Xiaomi launches new OLED TVs: Comes in 55″, 64″, and 77″ models

Alongside the Mi Mix 4 and the Mi Pad 5 series, Xiaomi also introduced its latest lineup of OLED TVs; They come in the form of the Mi TV 6 series and the Mi TV Master 77.

This series offers you two size variants – 55-inches and 65-inches; both panels output at 4K resolution, and pack up to 8.29-million LED pixels inlaid in the screen. The TVs also support True 10bit colour, 98.5% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and Dolby Vision. 

Under the hood is a MediaTek 9638 chipset along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The TVs also support dual-band Wi-Fi.

The Mi TV 6 runs MIUI for TV 3.0 and has Xiao AI embedded in it. There’s no word on what software the global variants of the TV will pack as of yet. 

In terms of I/O ports, you get three HDMI ports, 2x USB (1x 2.0, 1x 3.0), 1x LAN port, SPDIF, and AV Input. 

The Mi TV 6 55-inch is priced at RMB5,699 (RM3,726), while the 65-inch model will set you back RMB7,699 (about RM5,034).

This 77-inch 4K TV uses the V21 generation of OLED technology that Xiaomi claims offer better colours and brightness. On top of that, it supports a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio along with a peak brightness of 1,000nits.

There’s Dolby Vision support and AI-upscaling for SR content. The TV supports 10bit colours and a 98.5% DCI-P3 and 95.5% Adobe RGB colour output. 

For audio, you get Harman Kardon engineered 70W speakers, along with a 20W subwoofer and support for Dolby Atmos 3.1 surround for that premium auditory experience. 

Xiaomi Mi TV master 77 120Hz

When it comes to gaming, the TV supports up to 120Hz refresh rate and is NVIDIA G-Sync and X Box certified. This means that the product comes with HDMI 2.1 ports which will support high-refresh rate gaming. 

Speaking of ports, the TV comes with 2x HDMI 2.1 ports (one with eARC), 1x HDMI 2.0, 1x AV, 1x Optical Audio Out, 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, and 1x Ethernet port. Like the Mi TV 6 series, this too runs on Xiaomi’s MIUI for TV 3.0 software.   

The Xiaomi Mi TV Master 77 TV is priced at a whopping RMB19,999 (about RM13,078). 

There’s no word yet on when these new Xiaomi TVs will arrive in Malaysia, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated when more information is made available.
