In the age of smart-everything, Xiaomi has just launched its smart dustbin which helps when it comes to sorting and managing your trash. The smart dustbin has a lot of interesting features that will help when it comes to germophobes that prefer not to touch anything related to trash.
Some of the interesting features that the dustbin has is a proximity sensor on the lid that will detect your hand and raise the lid for you to dispose of your trash, the lid is also airtight in order to keep the smell from floating around your home. The final and most interesting feature is its ability to seal up your trash for disposal and there is a storage area for empty bags to which it will automatically replace when needed. The smart dustbin will need to be plugged into a power outlet and weighs 3.5kg.
The crowdfunding has managed to rack up 3.7 million Yuan (RM2209842.54) from 19,000 supporters and will be priced at 199 Yuan (RM118.85) with a shipping date of 11 September 2018.
