Xiaomi’s new brand of smartphones is now official – the Xiaomi Civi sits nicely in the in the upper midrange segment alongside the Xiaomi 11T series.
Despite the price tag, the phone packs plenty of premium features and aesthetics too – the phone comes with a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED panel with curved edges. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+.
In terms of design, the phone looks a lot like the vivo X60 Pro with its long, slim chassis, and rectangular, vertical camera bump. The difference is that the back panel sports a soft matte finish.
For imaging, you get a 64MP main lens, a 120-degree ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, you get a 32MP camera. What sets the Civi apart is its new beautification algorithm that is trained to keep skin texture looking natural, while removing blemishes.
Under the hood is the popular Snapdragon 778G chipset along with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone is powered by a 4,500mAh battery along with support for 55W of fast charging.
The Xiaomi Civi is priced at CNY2,599 (about RM1,685) and is only available in its native China for now – there’s no word yet on when it’ll arrive in Malaysia, and whether it’ll be rebranded when it does make its way to local shores.
