Messenger now lets you notify @everyone in a group chat

If you have been actively using group chats in Facebook Messenger, you’ll be happy to know that you can alert everyone in the group, even if they have muted the conversation, with the @everyone command, which you will appreciate if you mainly use the group chat to connect with your co-workers and want to get them to respond.

In addition, you are also getting a /silent command where messages will be sent quietly to all recipients without informing them, which is useful for late night messages if you are afraid of disturbing someone; a /pay shortcut will also be made available to users in the US for sending and receiving money in the coming weeks.

For iOS users, a /gif function on Messenger will now let you quickly search for animated gifs to be included in the chat, you will also get /shrug and /tableflip command that will output emoticons  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ respectively.

Now, use these commands well and ensure you aren’t a nuisance in a chat group.
