CES 2024: Acer launches first WiFi 7 5G CPE Router

Acer has just upped the ante in the gaming world with the launch of its two new routers, the Predator Connect X7 5G CPE and Predator Connect T7 Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Router. These routers, powered by the Qualcomm® Immersive Home Platform and featuring the latest tri-band Wi-Fi 7, are set to revolutionize online gaming with their ultra-fast connections and unparalleled wireless performance.

The Predator Connect X7 stands out as a game-changer, being the first router to merge 5G and Wi-Fi 7 tri-band BE11000 throughput. It offers lightning-fast speeds of 3.5 Gbps over 5G and boasts an impressive 1 ms latency. This router is designed to minimize disruptions with its dual WAN connectivity, which includes both 5G and ethernet, and incorporates load balancing and failover mechanisms for a seamless gaming experience.

These routers represent a significant leap from Wi-Fi 6, doubling the speed and offering more flexibility for gamers. Key features include reduced latency, better interference management, and consistent performance for connected devices.

Predator routers are compatible with the Intel Killer Prioritization Engine, optimizing network data for thousands of games, apps, and websites. Wi-Fi 7 features like 320 MHz channel support, 4K QAM, and Multi-Link Operations enhance router performance by allowing simultaneous data transmission across various frequency bands and channels.

Gamers can effortlessly manage their network with the Acer Predator Connect utility app and monitor signal strength through the multi-color lighting indicator on the routers. An added layer of security is provided by the built-in Trend Micro Home Network Security engine, safeguarding devices against potential cyber threats and scrutinizing network traffic.
