Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra, marking a significant milestone in its partnership with Leica to advance mobile imaging technology.
The new series, released in Malaysia today, encapsulates the peak of this collaboration, featuring Leica’s Summilux optics to set new industry standards in mobile photography.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra, dubbed the “Professional Imagery Flagship,” introduces a unique circular camera module inspired by traditional camera designs. It’s available in Black and White, featuring a robust construction with Xiaomi’s Guardian Structure, including an aluminum frame, nano-tech vegan leather, and Shield Glass.
This model emphasizes professional-grade photography with its quad-camera setup, including an ultra-large 1-inch LYT-900 image sensor and support for 8K video recording across all cameras.
Both Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra are powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, delivering enhanced CPU and GPU performance with lower power consumption. They feature cutting-edge cooling systems, ample battery life, and Xiaomi’s HyperOS, designed for seamless integration into the “Human X Car X Home” smart ecosystem.
Xiaomi 14, the more compact model, boasts a 6.36″ CrystalRes AMOLED display with a slim bezel design and a triple-camera setup optimized with Leica’s technology. This model is designed for daily use, combining advanced imaging capabilities with a user-friendly design.
With Xiaomi HyperOS, the 14 Series offers advanced system fluidity, comprehensive security features, and AI-driven capabilities for a smarter and more connected user experience. Enhanced AI functionalities include real-time transcription, intelligent album search, and creative image composition.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be available starting from March 22, while Xiaomi 14 sales begin on March 8, with various promotions and free gifts offered during the launch period. The series promises long-term support with four generations of Android OS upgrades and five years of security patches.
