The upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra is reportedly going to be one of the first smartphones in the world to sport a 200MP camera.
Smartphone camera resolutions have been stagnating at 108MP for some time now – so this new development will be great news for people who make use of high-res photography frequently.

One can only imagine how thick the phone is going to be in order to fit a sensor that large, and whether or not 200MP smartphone cameras offer any real advantage in real-world scenarios.
According to reports, the device will only arrive in 2022, and it will be part of a three-model series. With that said, the other models in the lineup are no slouches when it comes to photography – the report claims that the more affordable variants will comes with a 5x zoom periscope lens, and a high-quality ultrawide angle lens too.
