Its an exciting period in the tech world, and Microsoft is joining that excitement once again by confirming the release of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update on October 17th, it brings one important feature to the table – Windows Mixed Reality, which will definitely help push sales of Mixed Reality headsets that has been announced by OEMs in IFA 2017.

If you aren’t interested in Mixed Reality, then you should be glad that the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update will bring a new feature to the People’s app that allows you to pin your favorite Skype contacts onto the taskbar, OneDrive is also updated with a OneDrive Files-On-Demand feature that lets you grab files without having to sync the entire folder, and you can finally pick an emoji by pressing the Windows Key + Period/Semicolon keyboard shortcut.’

Game Mode is also getting an update, which Microsoft claiming that it will take full potential of your device’s hardware power as if ‘it was an Xbox game console’, something similar to Apple’s Metal API, it will be supported on Xbox Play Anywhere games such as Cuphead, Forza Motosport 7, Super Lucky’s Tale and Middle-earth: Shadow of War.

The Windows 10 Fall Creators Update will also see a beta version of Microsoft’s integrated eye tracking software, and we might find some improvements on stylus input. If you have signed up for the Windows Insider Program, you should be receiving an update codenamed Redstone 4 very soon which will have most of the features of the Fall Creators update in place.
