Both models have almost similar displays; they each sport a 6.56-inch Super AMOLED panel that pushes FHD+ resolution and supports up to 120Hz refresh rate.
However, the vivo X70 has a 2.5D screen while the X70 Pro has a 3D screen; the Pro model also has a larger screen ratio, weighs heavier (depending on the colour variant) and is slightly thicker.
Under the hood, both phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip and has 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB of storage.
The vivo X70 houses a 4,400mAh battery while the X70 Pro has a 4,450mAh battery, but both supports 44W fast charging.
These two phones also have similar telephoto and ultrawide lenses, but you’ll find an extra 8MP periscope telephoto lens on the vivo X70 Pro.
Apart from that, the Pro model has a better 50MP wide lens with f/1.8 aperture; the vanilla variant comes with a 40MP lens with f/1.9 aperture.
That being said, both phones can shoot up to 4K/60fps unlike the vivo X70 Pro+ that shoots up to 8K/30fps, but the latter is not available in Malaysia.
This time, vivo partnered with ZEISS to incorporate the ZEISS T* coating into its camera systems to prevent ghosting and stray lights when shooting photos, especially in lowlight situation.
Paired with the Sony IMX766V sensor, the new ultra-sensing gimbal stabilisation helps users shoot steadier footages both day and night while the sensor offers clarity in photo and video quality.
For selfies, both the X70 and X70 Pro share the same 32MP lens, but this time vivo also introduced a few more ZEISS bokeh filters – Distagon Style, Planar Style and Sonnar Style.
