If you are looking to sign up TIME Internet for your home, you are in for a treat as the ISP is now offering WiFi 7 routers for the 600Mbps and 1Gbps plan, the cost of the plans will remain the same at RM139/month for the 600Mbps plan, and RM199/month for the 1Gbps plan, while you are required to sign on a 24-month contract as usual.
For the 600Mbps plan, you will still get the previous offer of RM99/month for the first 6 months before paying for the full price thereafter, while signing up on TIME Internet’s website gets you a free month. However, the plan no longer offers a free Mesh router and you will need to addon during the sign up, you will need to opt for the 1Gbps to get a WiFi 7 mesh router at no cost should you require it.
While there aren’t many WiFi 7 devices in the market right now, recent flagship smartphones and laptops are already equipped with WiFi 7 that offers even faster transfer speeds than WiFi 6E, while WiFi 7 also offers the benefit of supporting more devices in a network than WiFi 6, it future proofs your home Internet connectivity should you decide to get the plan.
Interestingly, TIME Internet isn’t offering the WiFi 7 router on its most expensive 2Gbps plan, as users of this plan would benefit the most from this upgrade, but meanwhile, the ISP also offers FTTR (fiber-to-the-room) that still offers a better connectivity experience in rooms.
