Vivo finally brings the Vivo S1 to Malaysia and yes, it’s the first of the S series to make its debut in Malaysia.
The S1 that we’re talking about is the global version in which this device comes with a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display, in addition to a waterdrop notch and thin bezels. It supports what Vivo calls “Screen Touch ID” (in-display fingerprint unlock) and face unlock and thanks to that, there’s no rear-mounted fingerprint sensor to obstruct its back design.
The design on the back of the S1 is rather unique as it comes with a nano-ion coating technique that resembles a diamond-like pattern. This design gives off a unique light reflection effect that shimmers and topped with a 2.5D build, the S1 is comfortable to be held.
Under the hood, the Vivo S1 comes with a MediaTek Helio P65 chipset coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It ships with Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie and has features like Ultra Game Mode that enhances users’ gaming experience. Moreover, it is integrated with a 4,500mAh battery for extensive usage and supports 18W Dual-Engine Fast Charging so you can fully charge this device in less than two hours.
Apart from that, this device sports a 32MP front camera that has AI Selfie Lighting, AI Filter and AI Face Beauty to enhance selfies taken. On its rear, it comes with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 16MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. The phone even has a Professional Mode for those who’d prefer manual adjustments.

The Vivo S1 is now available for pre-order at the price of RM1,099 and those who pre-order can pay RM50 to get anM100 instant rebate at Vivo Concept Stores, in addition to getting an exclusive gift — the Share K1-Bluetooth Speaker. The phone also can be pre-ordered on Lazada, Shopee, Presto Mall and Vivo Online Store. The S1 will officially be on sale on July 27 at all Vivo Store, collaboration partners and authorised dealers.
