After releasing the Star Wars themed edition OnePlus 5T, the next movie that OnePlus is expected to co-brand it’s flagship phone is none other than Marvel’s Avengers, which the latest installment Infinity War is going up on cinemas next week. Yesterday, Acer also announced three Avengers-themed laptops, and OnePlus is the second tech company to have announced such a collaboration with Marvel.
OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition
The OnePlus 6 is the smartphone to receive the Avengers theme treatment, and this announcement tells us that we should expect the phone to hit the market really soon. OnePlus was quoted saying that the partnership between Marvel is to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the latter, marking a step towards strengthening the company’s association with Disney in India, which owns Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm.
For now, we know that the OnePlus 6 will be the most powerful Android phone with a notch, as it is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor supported with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and as OnePlus’ Pete Lau puts it, the phone is tuned to have less than 1/1000 chances of freezing up. Let’s hope the OnePlus 6 Avengers edition will be available for all markets, though we would expect the company to have it launched in India.
