Secure messaging app Telegraph is expanding into the blogging space as the company has launched a new anonymous bloggin platform called Telegraph.

There are a few things that sets Telegraph apart from the traditional blogging platforms. For starters, the website itself is minimalistic to the bone, sporting only three boxes that allows you to fill in your post’s title, your name, and the main post itself. Writing a post on the platform is very straightforward, as embedding Twitter posts and YouTube videos can be done by just dropping the links into the box.

While Telegraph allows you to post various articles without needing to register for the service, the service doesn’t provide a method that allows you to edit your published posts. Telegraph uses a cookie system to remember its users, so if you’ve removed said cookie from your computer, you won’t be able to make remove the post you’ve published.

The way Telegraph is built is not all that different when compared to sites like Medium. However, the whole anonymous nature of Telegraph means that it is far more susceptible to abuse. For example, anyone could publish a highly sensitive post and credit it to another person, and no one would know otherwise. Whether or not the people that created Telegraph are ready to combat the trolls remains to be seen.
