After a hiatus due to the global pandemic, the TAIWAN EXPO makes a much-anticipated return to Malaysia at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from August 24th to 26th. This marks the expo’s 7th consecutive year and is expected to draw a substantial crowd.
Boasting 220 booths from 170 leading Taiwanese companies, attendees are set to experience a diverse array of products. The event organizers have already set over 1,080 one-on-one business meetings, projecting a potential of 48 million US dollars in business opportunities.
This year’s expo showcases five key themes that highlight Taiwan’s strength and innovative prowess: Industry 4.0, Smart Medical, Halal, Circular Economy, and Intelligent Lifestyle.
Among the attractions, attendees can look forward to the 2nd Taiwanese Halal Food Cooking Contest, the energy-charged Zumba Fest, and an array of cultural performances. As a highlight, the renowned YouBike will introduce its updated 2.0 version of electric-assisted bicycles. The Taiwan Healthcare Pavilion and the Net Zero Pavilion will focus on Taiwan’s advancements in health and sustainable energy. The AI-inspired Digital Commerce Pavilion is set to draw attention with innovative technologies, including the ‘Smart Baby Bib.’
Fans can also expect appearances from prominent Malaysian celebrities like Nur Ruhainies and top model Syiera Eyya. These personalities, alongside Taiwanese exhibitors, will be hosting periodic giveaways from dedicated live studios. Attendees have a chance to win round-trip tickets between Kuala Lumpur and Taipei, courtesy of China Airlines, EVA Air, and Starlux Airlines.
Promoting its return, the TAIWAN EXPO’s promotional video, featuring an engaging conversation between its symbolic butterfly and a vibrant hibiscus flower, was displayed at Kuala Lumpur’s Pavilion in August, earning significant applause.
The expo is hosted in Halls 1 and 2 of the KLCC, with doors opening from 10 AM to 6 PM. Entry is complimentary for all visitors.
