Samsung launches Neo QLED TVs that use Quantum Mini LEDs

During Samsung’s First Look event earlier this morning, the Korean giants introduced two new TVs that put emphasis on better picture quality and immersion.

The Neo OLED TVs include two models – the 4K QN90A and the 8K QN900A. Both panels are equipped with Quantum Mini LEDs that offer images with better contrast and minimal blooming thanks to more local dimming zones.

To improve immersion, the 8K QN900A model comes with an Infinity One Design bezel that promises, essentially, no visible bezels.

Under the hood is Samsung’s Neo Quantum Processor which help in improving HDR quality by way of increasing the luminance scale to 12-bit with 4096 steps. The chip also utilizes 16 neural network models with trained AI to help further improve image quality and upscaling.

When it comes to audio, the TVs come with Object Tracking Sound and SapceFit Sound to ensure more immersive audio that fill the room it’s placed in.

There’s no word on what ports it’ll pack, but we’ll have to assume there’s at least two HDMI 2.1 ports with eARC support.

There’s also no word yet on the local pricing, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated when get more info. We’ll see more of these TVs and their 110-inch OLED panel at this year’s CES event happening this 11-14 January.
