Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, introducing its next-generation smartwatches that place AI-powered health tracking at the forefront. Powered by the new Snapdragon Wear Elite Platform, both wearables bring brighter displays, longer battery life and more advanced health insights, while catering to different types of users—from outdoor adventurers to those looking for an everyday wellness companion.
Galaxy Watch Ultra2 Built for Outdoor Performance

Designed for athletes and adventure enthusiasts, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is Samsung’s most capable smartwatch to date. It features a rugged titanium casing, a slimmer design despite housing a significantly larger 800mAh battery, and a brighter 5,000-nit display for improved visibility under direct sunlight.
The watch introduces dedicated outdoor sports tracking features, including Trail Run mode with elevation and terrain analysis, alongside Nutrition Alert that provides hydration guidance based on estimated sweat loss. It also becomes Samsung’s first dive-ready smartwatch, offering automatic dive tracking with real-time depth, dive time and water temperature monitoring, while an upcoming Ultra2 Diving app developed with Mares will add advanced diving metrics later this year.
Galaxy Watch9 Focuses on Everyday Wellness

For users prioritising everyday health monitoring, the Galaxy Watch9 delivers a lighter aluminium design with improved all-day comfort for continuous wear. Available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, it features a 3,000-nit AMOLED display, a 390mAh battery and the new Snapdragon Wear Elite Platform for faster performance and more efficient health tracking.
Both watches share Samsung’s latest BioActive Sensor technology, enabling new AI-powered health features such as Vitals monitoring, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, Fitness Index and Hearing protection. Together, these features provide personalised recommendations across sleep, cardiovascular health, activity and recovery, helping users better understand their overall wellbeing.
New Bands and Samsung Care+ Benefits
Samsung is also introducing a wider range of purpose-built watch bands. The Ultra2 receives new Marine, PeakForm and Trail bands designed for different outdoor activities, while the Watch9 lineup gains Sports, Misty and Fabric bands aimed at improving comfort and personalisation.
Owners will also benefit from Samsung Care+, which now allows users to access warranty information, self-diagnostics, repair requests and remote support directly through their Galaxy smartphone. Both watches include a complimentary 60-day Strava Premium trial for users looking to track and improve their fitness.
