Yesterday, MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) redONE announced its partnership with HP Malaysia to launch the HP Slate6 VoiceTab. The phablet will be available exclusively on redONE and when you sign up with the company’s RM58 Postpaid plan together with the device, you will be entitled to a RM10 rebate for 12 months.
The HP Slate6 VoiceTab is HP’s attempt to make a comeback to the smartphone market by introducing a new category in the Slate product family. Available in Black and White colours, the phablet runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and has a 6-inch IPS 720p display, Dual SIM with HSPA+ 42Mbps support, 5 Megapixel AF main camera, 16GB built-in storage, and powered by a Marvel PXA1088 Quad-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB RAM.
redONE and HP Malaysia intends to increase publicity and market share through this collaboration. With the increasing subscriber base of redONE, the company is set to collaborate with phone makers to offer device subsidies and HP is their very first partner to be onboard.
