The chipset is designed with the purpose of enhancing three aspects; gaming, photography and artificial intelligence (AI).

With better components, the Snapdragon 675 can lead to smoother gaming experience and stronger connectivity when it comes to online games. The chipset is said to be able to provide faster frame rates and better audio quality as it uses the Qualcomm Aqstic that has advanced noise reduction and aptX audio that offers CD-like quality wireless audio.

The upgraded chipset will also be the first in the 600 series to offer 720p slow-motion video, in addition to having built-in enhancements to support portrait mode and HDR.

The Snapdragon 675 also comes with an upgraded AI engine which is used for face unlock and it’s faster and more accurate compared to the Snapdragon 670, in addition to having better voice recognition. Lastly, the chipset is integrated with the Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology that can charge smartphone batteries from 0 to 50% in 15 minutes.

Qualcomm said that the Snapdragon 675 is expected to appear in smartphones at the first quarter of 2019, and Xiaomi has already announced that they will be launching a new smartphone running on the new chipset.
