Recent footage has been leaked on Overwatch’s new event called “Insurrection”. In the new event, it looks like it will be sending players back to the days where Overwatch was still a team and the Blackwatch agents were also in operation. This new event was leaked on the Playstation channel recently displaying how the event will workout and a sneak peak at all the new skins and sprays that will becoming with this event.

“Insurrection” looks to be a PvE game mode where you and 4 other teammates will be play in the past, seeing as Tracer, Reinhardt and Torbjorn look significantly younger in the trailer. The game mode seems to look like a Horde Mode, which is seen in the likes of Gears of War’s Horde Mode and Team Fortress  Mann Vs Machine. This is not the first time overwatch has release a PvE game mode, as last Halloween, Blizzard release Junkenstein’s Revenge where players would have to defend their castle from the hordes of zombie like Omnics that Junkrat/Junkenstein would send at you in addition of a Pumpkin Headed Reaper, A Witch Mercy and Junkenstein’s monster/Roadhog. In the case of this event, we will be seeing McCree and Genji’s Blackwatch skins along side what looks to be Overwatch issued uniform for Tracer, Reinhardt and Torbjorn.

The event is set to start on the 11th of April and will end on the 1st of May (US times, one day after for us). Lets hope this would shine more light on the past of the Overwatch universe which information we only know from the comics and all the cinematic trailers of characters they have released up till now. If Blizzard is following their norm when it comes to taking out big updates, this new update should be available to be pre-loaded just before the event starts.
