OPPO held its annual tech convention last week to reveal multiple new inventions and products; and a few days after, its patent for the OPPO Find X4 Pro has surfaced on the internet.
According to LetsGoDigital, OPPO has filed a patent onto the China National International Property Administration (CNIPA) for worldwide protection of the patented design.
The smartphone will sport a front panel with curved edges and an under display selfie camera; the power and volume buttons are located a little further back, possibly to accommodate the front display. Moreover, we can see that the device is quite thin with only the camera housing protruding out.
There will be a quad-camera setup and a flash held together in a square module. Beside it is a square secondary display that shows the time, date or notifications; the secondary display is also likely to act as a preview screen for when you take selfies with the rear camera. With this, you won’t have to worry about the under-display camera’s quality.
We can expect great camera quality from OPPO’s upcoming flagship series as it will feature the company’s new neural processing unit (NPU) — MariSilicon X. This chip is built on a 6nm process technology and supports real-time RAW image processing and 4K Night Video.
Other than that, the OPPO Find X4 series is confirmed to feature MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9000 SoC with the series set to release in Q1 2022 so stay tuned as we keep you updated. In the meantime, you can checkout OPPO’s Find N, retractable rear camera, and Air Glass.
