We recently wrote about the sighting of OPPO’s next smartphone entry, the Reno Ace. The phone supports a whopping 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Fast Charge 2.0, which are crazy numbers considering that makes it the fastest charging smartphone to date. There is Xiaomi’s 100W charger, but that isn’t commercially available yet.

What is however, is OPPO’s 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging tech. In a press release shared with us by OPPO themselves, we can expect to see 65W charging in the upcoming Reno Ace smartphone, and although we know they mean its launch in China, but we reckon it will make its way here too.

OPPO claims that their latest charging tech can charge a 4,000mAh battery in just 30 minutes. This comes just in time for the rise of 5G smartphones – we’re about to see the first barrage of 5G-enabled devices in Malaysia very soon.

Up next, OPPO also introduced their 30W Wireless VOOC Flash Charge tech – most devices now only have about 20W of cable charging, so 30W without a cable is unprecedented. With this, OPPO claims that a 4,000mAh battery can be charged in 80 minutes. It’s also compatible with Qi standards and supports 5W and 10W charging.
