Ahead of its launch later today at 10pm, the OnePlus Nord’s camera specs have been announced by the company’s Imaging Director Simon Liu.

In his blog post, Liu confirms that the Nord will pack a 48MP main shooter which employs the Sony IMX586 sensor; complementing it are an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a acro shooter. For selfies, you get two lenses – a 32MP main camera and an accompanying ultrawide shooter.

According to Liu, the dual-array cameras at the front use AI and long exposure technology to improve lighting and noise levels when taking selfies.

Taking a look at the official Instagram page also tells us that the phone will ship with Google’s Comms Suite which will integrate into the device apps like Duo, Phone, and Messages – possiblity adding to OnePlus’ popular stock Android-like OxygenOS.

When it comes to specs, we know the phone will come with a Snapdragon 765G chipset, while its memory configuration could start at 6GB, while certain reports say the phone will ship with 12GB of RAM. For storage, you should get 256GB as standard.

The phone packs a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel that pushes a 90Hz refresh rate, with a 180Hz touch smapling rate. The OnePlus Nord could also come with a 4,300mAh battery with support for 30W of Warp Charge fast charging.

The Nord’s main competitor will be the vivo X50 which will be launched today as well and that too packs very similar specs – we’ve seen its pre-order pricing on Lazada start at RM2,399; so we can also expect the Nord to be priced similarly.

We know you’re as excited as we are about the launch, and you can watch the AR livestream alongside us by downloading the OnePlus Nord AR app on your app stores. Once you’ve done that, check in on OnePlus page here to proceed to the launch.
