Once upon a time, many thought that the 3GB GTX 1060 would be rebranded as the GTX 1050. That turned out to be false as the 3GB card remained as part of the GTX 1060 series. Today, BenchLife has released details on the actual GTX 1050, and it looks like its going up against AMD’s Radeon RX 470.

From what the leaked GPU-Z image shows, the upcoming GTX 1050, also known as GP107, will come with 768 CUDA Cores, a clock speed of 1318MHz, which can be boosted to 1380MHz. It will also come with 4GB of GDDR5 memory which is clocked at 7GHz, giving the card 112GB/s bandwidth along the 128-bit bus interface. Perhaps the most interesting part of the GTX 1050 is its TDP. According to BenchLife, the GTX 1050 has a suggested TDP of 75W, meaning that the card itself doesn’t require additional PCI-e power connectors to work. While the reference card will probably omit the power connectors, the same probably cannot be said for the AIB cards.

As for availability, the GTX 1050 is expected to launch in mid-October. Pricing for the GTX 1050 is expected to be around the USD150 (RM611) mark.
