Nothing has officially launched the Phone (3) and Headphone (1), a milestone since the company’s startup a few years back, as the Phone (3) is the company’s true flagship device and the Headphone (1) is the company’s first over-ear heaadphones that’s co-developed with British audio company KEF.

Nothing Phone (3)

The Phone (3) features an unusual yet interesting design that makes it look unique among the sea of smartphones, though the company did away with the iconic Glyph interface this time in favor of the Glyph Matrix interface, which is a small round OLED screen on the back that shows dot pixel style animations, it does more things than the Glyph interface and comes with mini games to entertain you if you’re bored.

Most importantly, the Phone (3) is now IP68 dust and water resistant, while its front screen uses Gorilla Glass Victus and the back glass case uses Gorilla Glass 7i, which is a more robust device than the Phone (2).

Under the hood, the Phone (3) is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip as revealed by the company earlier on, it comes in two storage options of 12GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB. The Phone (3) features a 6.67-inch 1.5K Flexible AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and pushes a 4500 nits peak brightness, battery size has been significantly increased to 5150mAh with support for 65W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

The camera department is where the Phone (3) improves the most against its predcessor, it boasts a triple camera setup comprising a 50MP f/1.68 wide camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope camera with OIS that does 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom and up to 60x AI Super Res Zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera.

The phone’s selfie camera takes 50MP stills, while all cameras are capable of taking 4K videos at 60 fps.

Nothing Headphone (1)

The Nothing Headphone (1) features a custom 40mm dynamic diaphragm driver, its sound has been tuned by British audio company KEF to present authentic sound that the artist originally intended.

The Headphone (1)’s design stand out with a retro yet futuristic transparent square case, while it has unique physical controls such as a paddle switch for switching music tracks, a clickable roller that lets you adjust volume and control media playback and a dedicated button for switching between music streaming apps or calling out your voice assistant, the music streaming app switching feature will however require a Nothing Phone (3).

The Headphone (1) features Spatial Audio with head tracking, on-ear detection and realtime adaptive active noise cancellation, it supports the LDAC codec for high quality audio streaming, while users preferring wired audio will fortunately be able to connect a 3.5mm-3.5mm cable that’s included in the box.

In terms of battery life, the Headphone (1) promises up to 80 hours of playback time on a single charge with ANC off and on AAC codec, while switching up to LDAC with ANC on reduces that playback time to 30 hours.
