Just last week, we found out that Google has already rolled out an Android Wear update which is based on its new Android Oreo software on Android smartphones. The update includes handy features such as vibration strength settings, touch lock and notification channels. Google has now officially announced the list of smartwatches eligible for the update.

Among the Android Wear smartwatches that have already received the update include:

  • Fossil Q Venture
  • LG Watch Sport
  • Louis Vuitton Tambour
  • Michael Kors Sofie
  • Montblanc Summit

The ones above are fairly new wearables, with the LG Watch Sport reportedly being the first to receive the Oreo based update. This second list of smartwatches are the ones which will be receiving the update as well, with the software due for rollout respectively:

  • Casio PRO TREK Smart (WSD-F20)
  • Casio Smart Outdoor Watch (WSD-F10)
  • Diesel Full Guard
  • Emporio Armani Connected
  • Fossil Q Control
  • Fossil Q Explorist
  • Fossil Q Founder 2.0
  • Fossil Q Marshal
  • Fossil Q Wander
  • Gc Connect
  • Guess Connect
  • Huawei Watch 2
  • Hugo BOSS BOSS Touch
  • LG Watch Style
  • Michael Kors Access Bradshaw
  • Michael Kors Access Dylan
  • Michael Kors Access Grayson
  • Misfit Vapor
  • Mobvoi Ticwatch S & E
  • Movado Connect
  • Nixon Mission
  • Polar M600
  • Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45
  • Tommy Hilfiger 24/7 You
  • ZTE Quartz

Most of these smartwatches are slightly aged, but happen to still be eligible for the update. These leaves out wearables such as the Moto 360 2nd Gen, Huawei Watch, and surprisingly the ASUS ZenWatch 3 which was launched only late last year. But according to the announcement, you can still reach out to your smartwatch manufacturer if your device isn’t on the list. It is unlikely that it will work but it’s still worth a try!
