Lenovo’s subsidiary ZUK looks to end 2016 with a bang after it started manufacturing phones last year. So far, the company has launched the ZUK Z1, Z2 and Z2 Pro. Now ZUK is rumored to be launching yet another handset before the year comes to a close. A new ZUK handset has been spotted on Chinese certification outlet TENAA, and it does seem promising.

According to the specs listed out on TENAA, the mysterious ZUK phone sports a 5.5-inch display at 1080p Full HD resolution. Things get a little more interesting when we move underneath the hood where the ZUK device features a Snapdragon 821 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The handset comes in two storage options – 32GB and 64GB. So far, the phone’s specs places it within 2016’s flagship standard.

The ZUK phone features a 13MP rear camera, which appears to protrude out of the phone’s rear panel, forming a camera bump. On the front, the handset has an 8MP selfie shooter. Things take another turn as the phone is powered by a rather small 3,000mAh battery, the smallest in fact, compared to the rest of ZUK’s handsets. Whether or not the battery’s capacity will be sufficient for what the phone packs remains to be seen. Unfortunately, the new ZUK phone will still be running Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 instead of the newer Android Nougat.

These findings are only at the initial stage so be sure to take them with a huge grain of salt. What do you think of this new mysterious ZUK phone so far? Let us know your thoughts at the comments section below!
