With Intel’s introduction of their latest 11th-Gen Intel Core mobile CPUs, we’re expecting to see the laptop market flooded with new models sporting the latest chips soon – one of the first brands to do so is MSI as they’ve announced the MSI Summit, Modern, Prestige 14 Evo, and Stealth 15M laptops.

MSI Summit

This business laptop is offered in four variants – all built razor thin, with the thickest model measuring at only 16.9mm. The all-black chassis is accented with copper lines that adds a premium touch.

For the display, you can choose either a 14-inch or 15.6-inch monitor while panel options include 4K and FHD screens, with the former offering 100% Adobe RGB colour output. The top spec models also give you the option to install a touchscreen FHD display too.

Under the hood is, of course, an Intel Core 11th-Gen CPU – the Summit only comes with the Core-i7 chip, meaning you’ll get at least an Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics unit for the lower end models, while the more expensive ones can be packed with up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti Max-Q. So despite being a business laptop, the higher-end models can do a bit of gaming as well.

The 14-inch models can be equipped with up to 32GB of RAM, while the larger variants can pack up to 64GB; for storage, you’re looking at a single slot for an Gen4 PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, while the 15.6-inch models offer two slots, one for a PCIe Gen3 NVME SSD instead.

The whole lineup comes with Thunderbolt 4 support, a 720p IR webcam, a white backlit keyboard, and a fingerprint reader.

MSI Prestige and MSI Modern

MSI Prestige Evo black

Three models are available for your choosing – one of it is the Prestige 14 Evo, which gets its name from Intel Evo, a new standard introduced by the brand that succeeds Project Athena and requires laptops to be more power-efficient, lighter, and more powerful than before.

The Prestige 14 Evo promises that while offering up to an 11th-Gen Intel Core i7 CPU, as well as the Intel Iris Xe graphics chip. It’s got 16GB of RAM on board as well as a single Gen4 PCIe NVMe slot for storage.

The laptop comes with a 14-inch FHD panel that operates at a lower power to improve battery life; the Prestige 14 Evo’s siblings on the other hand, can be fitted with a 4K panel.

MSI Modern colours

The MSI Modern is going to a slight step down from the Prestige as it comes with slightly more modest hardware; design-wise however, it’ll look the same as its cousin. The laptops boast an enterprise-friendly minimalistic look with six colour options – Urban Silver, Pure White, Carbon Gray, Rose Pink, Blue Stone, and Beige Mousse.

Powering the Modern series is up to an Intel Core i7 processor with up to an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 graphics unit. The series also comes with a HD webcam, Thunderbolt 4 support with PD and DP 1.4a, plus a backlist keyboard.

MSI Stealth

If it’s all-out power your gunning for, then the MSI Stealth 15M is your pick – on top of the newest 11th-Gen Intel Core CPUs, you can also equip your laptop with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q discrete GPU, which is capable of moderate creative work too.

The laptop comes with a 15.6-inch FHD panel that pushes a refresh rate of 144Hz, making the Stealth 15M a bona fide gaming machine as well. Backing up that point is the laptop’s RGB keyboard.

Despite all that powerful hardware, the MSI Stealth is still sleek and lightweight, weighing at just 1.69KGs, and with a height of just 15.95mm.

There’s no official pricing yet for MSI’s new lineup but you can head over to their official website to keep tabs on products.
