MSI may have made headlines launching the GE63 and GE73VR Raider series last week, the company has silently started preorders for the GV62, which is spotted via Senheng Electric’s Facebook sponsored spot, the GV62 technically succeeds the previous CX62 and comes with a lightweight body of 2.2kg, that’s pretty impressive for a 15.6-inch laptop.

In terms of specs, you are getting a Kaby Lake Core i5-7300HQ processor, presumably with 4GB of DDR-2400 RAM and upgradeable to 32GB using two RAM slots, a 15.6-inch Full HD display which covers 94% NTSC color space, an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 2GB GDDR5 GPU, and some other exclusive MSI features such as Nahimic Audio 2+, a single color zone backlit SteelSeries Engine keyboard, and Cooler Boost thermal solution. The laptop can connect up to two monitors with its HDMI and DisplayPort 1.2 ports, while it also sports a USB Type-C 3.0 port, two standard USB 3.0 port and one USB 2.0 port.

Senheng has listed the price of the MSI GV62 at RM3,199 for members, you can also purchase the laptop at MSI’s 11street official store at RM3,299, stock ETA is scheduled at 28th August. The GeForce MX150 GPU is a rather capable performer in MOBA games and can also handle certain AAA games if you lower graphics setting, what’s even commendable is that the GV62 can support PCIe Gen3x4 SSD for faster storage. On the other hand, the GV62 is also available with a higher end GTX 1050 GPU if you crave for better gaming performance, but for now it seems that this is the only choice you have at the moment. Check out the MSI GV62 at Senheng and 11street.
