Not to long ago, we’ve reported that Samsung has rolled out a browser that makes use of the Samsung VR headset. Now Mozilla will be assisting other developers to make their websites VR-compatible, by launching A-Frame.

A-Frame, developed by Mozilla’s VR research team MozVR, is an open-source framework that allows developers to use familiar HTML markup in their designs, rather than the complex WebGL API. Despite that, A-Frame will operate within WebGL, making it work across desktop, iPhones, Cardboard devices and the Oculus Rift Dev Kit 2 headsets. This framework is also expected to support Android and various other VR devices like the HTC Vive.

For those interested in using A-Frame, a beginner’s guide can be found here. Mozilla has further created various channels such as a subreddit and a Tumblr page for users to share their creations with the world.
