New developments have come about in the US-Huawei trade war and this time it involves Microsoft. It appears that the American company has been given a license to continue doing business with Huawei.
Microsoft will resume “exporting mass-market software” to the Chinese giants and we’re assuming that means the Windows 10 operating system as well as the Office suite of productivity programmes.
With this, Huawei’s line-up of laptops like the MateBook X Pro, MateBook 13 and MateBook D will be able to feature the software too. This news also comes after an additional 90 days granted to Huawei to do business with other American companies.
Meaning up until late January next year, Huawei can continue to provide rural areas of the United States with their 3G and 4G network technology, which are depended upon by those residing in those areas.
There is no end in sight to the US-China trade war, and that spills over to the US-Huawei proxy war too; but hearing positive news shows that perhaps all parties involved are inching closer a resolution.
