The Meizu m3s finally goes official in India, after being made available in China a couple of months back in June. In April 2016, the Chinese manufacturer launched the Meizu m3 Note and the the m3. Then m3s is a minor upgrade from the latter, while sporting a very similar look compared to its predecessor.
For starters, the Meizu m3s features a 5-inch 2.5D curved glass display at 720p HD resolution. Moving on to its internals, the handset is powered by an octa core MT6570 chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz, coupled with a Mali T860 GPU. Along with that are two memory configurations – 2GB RAM with 16GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage. Storage is expandable to a further maximum of 256GB on top of the native storage.
Specs happen to remain the same for the camera department of the Meizu m3s when compared to its predecessor. The m3s sports a 13MP PDAF rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2, alongside a 5MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The major differences between the m3 and the m3s are the battery capacity, plus the implementation of a fingerprint sensor. The battery of the m3s has a capacity of 3,020mAh, a near 10 percent increase from the 2,870mAh battery packed by the m3. Also, the m3s has a fingerprint sensor embedded underneath its home button on the front, a feature which did not exist on the m3.
The Meizu m3s starts at 7,299 INR (RM453.58) for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant, and the higher end 3GB RAM/32GB storage model carries a price tag of 9,299 INR (RM577.87). What do you think of Meizu’s affordable m3s handset. Let us know your thoughts at the comments section below!
