The OnePlus 5T is only available in the Midnight Black color option, but is the fastest selling OnePlus device despite of that. The OnePlus 5 was made available in both Slate Gray and Midnight Black, with OnePlus eventually unveiling a Soft Gold variant as well. OnePlus is gracing the stage today with a new color variant for the OnePlus 5T – in gorgeous Lava Red.
This is the first time OnePlus has experimented with a red variant for its smartphones. Midnight Black first debuted with the OnePlus 3T, while Slate Gray is just a lighter version of it. At one glance, the Lava Red OnePlus 5T looks similar to the red variant of the OPPO R11s, which the phone resembles in terms of general design.
According to the video, the Lava Red OnePlus 5T is a 4th Anniversary Special Edition model, and is said to be available exclusively in China. There has been no news of its availability outside the country but OnePlus might just make it available since the company does listen to its community.
The OnePlus 5T comes with a couple of upgrades from the OnePlus 5, including a larger full screen display at 6-inches and a regular sensor with a larger aperture replacing the previous telephoto lens.
