The upcoming Apple Event happening at 1am tomorrow will likely bring forth the brand’s newest lineup of MacBook Pro laptops; according to reports, at least one of them will sport a display that has a waterdrop-notch that houses the webcam.

We typically see this design implementation on the iPhone, and the renders shown by these reports suggest that the new MacBook Pros will adopt the same kind of module.

However, it looks the laptop will only ship with one lens, meaning the notch is kept at a minimal size. On top of that, the implementation allows Apple to offer more screen real estate and thinner bezels.

What’s even more interesting is that one of the MacBook Pro models being launched will pack a 120Hz panel too. This would be great for browsing social media and websites.

Under the hood is purportedly either an M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs instead of the previously speculated M1X chips. We expect the chips to provide more power than the M1 thanks to its 8-performance core setup that populate a 10-core architecture.

These are just rumours for now, but we won’t have to wait for long before the launch of the devices; you can watch the Apple Event livestream via their website here.
