Leaker DylanDKT recently revealed that the iPhone 13 Pro will still be the only iPhones to get the LiDAR scanner, despite earlier rumours that suggested the lens to come to all the new iPhones.
LiDAR will only be coming to the pro iPhone models. Earlier this year it seemed Apple wanted to release all iPhone 13/12S models with LiDAR but due to one reason or another, it won’t be happening this year.

It’s not just DylanDKT; TrendForce also reported last month that the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max will be the only ones with LiDAR scanners, and they may even get a 120Hz screen. We’re also expecting these iPhones to be powered by the next A15 Bionic chip, in addition to a better, upgraded ultra-wide lens.
Unlike last year, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro will not be delayed
Without the addition of LiDAR scanner, the non-Pro models are also expected to have no changes in price, meaning the iPhone 13 should also start at the price of RM3,399. This time, we’re expecting them to be launch on time in September as the production has already started ahead of time.
For example, supplier TSMC has already started the production of the A15 Bionic chip two months ago. Digitimes also reported that Apple has already begun pulling in shipment for other components that are needed to manufacture the new iPhone.
