With the arrival Windows 11 looming, Lenovo have announced the Yoga Slim 7 Carbon, and Yoga Slim 7 Pro laptops that will ship with Microsoft’s latest operating system.
Yoga Slim 7 Carbon
This is the more affordable variant of the two and comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U CPU along with an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 integrated GPU. It can be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage via a PCIe SSD.
The Yoga Slim 7 Carbon packs a 14-inch 2.8K resolution OLED display that pushes a 90Hz refresh rate. It also supports 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, plus Dolby Vision and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 for improved content consumption.
The device weighs just 1.1KG and comes with a carbon-infused magnesium alloy body which allows it to be both light and sturdy.
On the software front – the laptop ships with Windows 11 and comes with Alexa Built-in, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1. The Yoga Slim 7 Carbon is priced from $1,289.99 (about RM5,354)
Yoga Slim 7 Pro
If you’re looking for a laptop for gaming, this laptop can be equipped with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, and up to a Ryzen 7 5800H CPU. Like the Yoga Slim 7 Carbon, you get up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage here too.
The Slim 7 Pro comes with a larger 16-inch, 2.5K resolution IPS 120Hz display. The panel supports 100% sRGB colour gamut, VESA Certified DisplayHDR 400, and Dolby Vision too.
For those working from home, the Slim 7 Pro comes with a smart noise cancelling feature which reduces noise during video calls. Like the Slim 7 Carbon, you get an IR webcam and Alexa too.
The laptop comes in Cloud Grey and Storm Grey; and it’s priced from $1,449 (about RM6,014). The local availability and pricing for both the Yoga Slim 7 Carbon and Slim 7 Pro will be announced at a later date. Visit Lenovo’s website here for more information.
