After launching the flagship iQOO 11 earlier this year, vivo’s sub brand iQOO has launched the iQOO Z7 series mid-range gaming phones today, comprising the iQOO Z7 and Z7x, they offer great performance and large batteries for under RM1,500.
The iQOO Z7 is powered by a Snapdragon 782G processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, it has a 6.64-inch FHD+ IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Compared to the Snapdragon 778G, the Snapdragon 782G chipset delivers up to 10% faster CPU performance and 13% faster GPU performance, while it has a Super Conducting Liquid Cooling Vapour Chamber to ensure a consistent gaming performance in long durations.
Being a gaming phone, the iQOO Z7 still features a pretty decent 64MP main camera with OIS, assisted by a secondary 2MP depth camera for portraits, the main camera is capable of taking 4K videos, which makes it one of the few phones to do that within the same price range.
The iQOO Z7 is juiced by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W vivo FlashCharge, which iQOO claims that can be charged from 1% to 50% in just 9 minutes.
On the other hand, the iQOO Z7x is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage, while it features the same display size and refresh rate as the Z7, it features a larger 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W vivo FlashCharge, a 50MP main camera without OIS and is assisted by a 2MP depth camera.
In terms of pricing, the iQOO Z7 retails at RM1,499 for the 12GB+256GB storage variant and RM1,299 for the 8GB+128GB storage variant, while the iQOO Z7x retails at RM1,099 for the 8GB+256GB storage variant and RM999 for the 8GB+128GB storage variant.
From 10th to 18 April 2023, customers can purchase the iQOO Z7 series at an early bird price, where the iQOO Z7 will retail for RM1,399 for the 12GB+256GB variant and RM1,249 for the 8GB+128GB storage variant, the iQOO Z7x will then retail for RM999 for the 8GB+256GB storage variant and RM939 for the 8GB+128GB storage variant.
On top of that, iQOO Z7 customers are entitled to a 1-year extended warranty, 1-year screen crack warranty and free gifts worth RM248. including a RM50 iQOO Student Discount programme voucher, iQOO backpack and a Marshall Key Holder.
