Instagram's latest update allows you to save posts as drafts

Instagram has added a new minor feature that will allow users to save posts as drafts to publish later. The last known major addition to Instagram was Instagram Stories, Instagram’s take on Snapchat, which happened to be quite the crowd puller. The new feature that comes with Instagram’s latest update might only be a minor one, but it will prove to be nifty to all users.

Instagram has made the announcement on its Twitter account, stating that users can now save a post as a draft and come back to it later. It isn’t a hidden or hard to find option in the app, which has been easy to use from the start. Users only have to select a photo or video, put on a Valencia filter (or any other filter, or none at all), add a caption and tag a location, then head back to the filters and editing tab and hit the back button. Users will then be prompted to save the post as a draft, agree to that and the post will appear in the “Library” section.

To go back to the draft, just tap “Library” and you’ll be able to see your post under “Drafts”. This is definitely a useful feature for those who intend to keep their posts for “primetime”, or need a couple of hours to carve up their best caption for a photo. The update is currently rolling out so do keep your eyes peeled for the update! What do you think?
