Huawei’s sub brand Honor continues its budget product lineup with two other devices after the unveiling of the dual rear camera Honor 6X. Introducing the Honor S1 smartwatch and the Honor Pad 2. While both devices may not wow you as much as the Honor 6X did, it is still worth looking at what Honor has to offer this time.

The Honor Pad 2 features an 8-inch IPS screen at Full HD resolution, a Snapdragon 616 SoC underneath the hood coupled with 3GB of RAM and storage options of 16GB or 32GB. Cameras aren’t to be the focus when it comes to tablets, but nevertheless the Honor Pad 2 sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front facing shooter which is sufficient for video calls. The tablet is offered in WiFi only and LTE models, and packs a 4,800mAh battery.

Moving on to the Honor S1 smartwatch, which unfortunately isn’t as advanced as the Huawei Watch. Instead, the Honor S1 looks like an upgrade from last year’s Honor Band Z1 as a fitness centric smartwatch. The Honor S1 features the usual activity tracking features, along with an additional heart rate sensor, a feature which the Honor Band Z1 missed out on. The smartwatch can also be connected to your smartphone for notifications, plus water resistance of up to 50 metres. Surrounding the display is a circular dial, and Huawei claims the Honor S1 to last up to six days on a single charge.

That pretty much wraps up Honor’s new devices for this time’s launch in China. What do you think about the new Honor Pad 2 and the Honor S1? Let us know your thoughts at the comments section below!
