HONOR V40 has reportedly been confirmed to arrive this 18 January, and the brand has unveiled the design of the device in a nice little teaser video shared onto their Weibo page.
With the former Huawei subsidiary now separated from its parent company, it’ll be interesting what HONOR can do with the V40 flagship.
Based on the teaser, we can see a very sleek-looking device; it looks to have a large, curved display – with that said, it is reminiscent of the of the Huawei Mate 40 from last year; it vene inherits the dual-selfie lens on the panel.
Despite the steep curves on the display, HONOR still manages to fit a physical power button and volume rocker.
As for how the back panel looks like, there has been rumours suggesting it’ll look a lot like the Huawei Nova 8 Pro – a familiar rectangle camera bump with four lenses, one large sensor sitting above three smaller sensors and a flash.
Under the hood, reports also say that the phone will pack a Dimensity 1000+ SoC with support for 120Hz display. The phone will possibly support up to 66W of wired fast charging and up to 50W of wireless charging.
Regardless, we’ll know more about the phone when it’s due to launch this 18 January, so stay tuned on our page as we bring you coverage of the phone’s arrival.
