Honor Malaysia has officially launched the Honor Play phone that comes with the GPU Turbo feature that the company has claimed will increase efficiency by 60% while reducing the power consumption by 30%. They achieved this by reconstructing the traditional graphics processing framework at the lower layer system.

The phone comes with a 6.3-inch FullView screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio screen giving you more screen size to view your content and play games on. It comes in a solid unibody design that has a very solid feel in your hand. Other than that, I come with a Kirin 970 processor that is boosted with their GPU Turbo technology, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Powering the device is a 3750mAh battery which can last a day even when playing games.

The feature that stands out is the 4D Gaming Experience which has AI real-time image and audio recognition which will vibrate and alert you to the direction of approaching enemies as well as gunfire, however, this feature is only available for PUBG Mobile for now. The phone will vibrate according to the direction of the action to give you a more immersive feel when gaming. Other than that, it comes with 3D Surround Sound which compliments the 4D Smart Shock system and can be used with both wired earphones and headphones.

In the photography department, it comes with a 16MP+2MP rear-camera which has the AI Scene Recognition and can recognize 500+ scenarios in 22 categories. It also has 3D Portrait lighting which allows you to adjust the lighting after taking a shot and AI Portrait Mode to give you a better Bokeh effect with your selfies.

The Honor Play will come in two colours of Ultra Violet and Navy Blue, the phone will retail for RM1249 and is available on their online e-commerce store as well as their Official Shopee, 11street and Lazada store from August 10 onwards. Honor has confirmed that the Honor 10 and Honor View10 will also receive the GPU Turbo update by the end of August.
